HUHS is a multi-specialty group practice. Most specialty care is covered by the Student Health Fee at no cost to you. Speak with your HUHS primary care team to coordinate your care with an HUHS specialist.

How to Search for a Specialist Outside of Massachusetts

Visit https://provider.bcbs.com/ to search for an in-network specialist nationwide
Enter your address, city, or zip code
Type “HVA” as your three-letter prefix OR select BlueCard PPO/EPO as your plan

Sample Out-of-Pocket Costs for Specialist Care

Clinic and doctors office visits Diagnostic/specialist/sick – adult 18 and older 12 visit limit (combined in and out of network)*	$35 copayment	30% co-insurance (after deductible is met)

*Effective February 1, 2024, visit limits will no longer apply to this benefit. Applicable cost-sharing still applies.

Note: Not all BCBS providers are in the BCBS PPO network. If you want the lowest out-of-pocket costs, be sure your specialist is in the BCBS PPO network.
